…another RIP…

Little did I know that my RIP Carla post would be followed by an RIP… mom post.  My mom died two weeks ago.  It’s been a very difficult time, spent some time in Michigan with family (which was good), and have reached a tiny bit of peace with it.

One of my favorite things we did is have a night where we ate mom’s favorite foods.  I won’t go into detail about it here… but I think I’m only now recovering from that.

During the last couple of weeks, I’ve taken the time to pull together video and photos of mom and put together this:  

So no new music right now… but soon.

It’s not often that someone online has both touched me and inspired me, but that happened with Carla Zilbersmith.  I started reading her blog a little while after she was diagnosed with ALS, and she kept me alternately in stitches and in tears.  People who have had the opportunity to have met her were very lucky.  I wish I were one of them who had the pleasure.

Carla, your spirit has awed me.  RIP Carla, and best wishes for your family and friends in this terrible time for them.
